5 Summer Drinks To Chill and Enjoy

With summer just around the corner, it’s about time you learn a few cocktail recipes to cool off during this hot weather season. There are so many different options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, that it may be a bit hard to choose just one. To try and help you out, we’ve chosen our top five summer drinks, so be sure to check them out!

Lemonade is already a famous summer drink, but to kick off this list, we’re introducing this electric lemonade recipe. These particular measurements make 4 servings, so you will need:

  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup sparkling mineral water
  • Splash ginger ale
  • 3 cups ice
  • 1 cup vodka
  • Mint sprigs and lemon slices (to decorate)

And it’s very easy to make:

  1. Slowly blend together the lemon juice, sugar, mint, mineral water, ginger ale, and ice. When the texture is thick, you can go to the next step.
  2. Get four glasses (that you can leave in the freezer for half an hour before serving for extra coolness) and pour ¼ cup of vodka into each of them. Top it off with the frozen lemonade.
  3. Decorate each cup with a mint sprig and a slice of lemon. You can also add a straw!

Sangria is a sweet drink that most women just adore! However, this recipe will please everyone around. Here it goes:

  • 1 bottle wine
  • ½ cup brandy
  • 1 sliced lime
  • 2 cups cubed watermelon
  • 2 cups cubed pineapple
  • Lemon lime soda
  • Ice Cubes

Stir wine and brandy together in a pitcher, then add the lime, watermelon, and pineapple. That’s pretty much it. To serve, pour the sangria over ice, topping it with the soda. Make sure to place some fruit and ice in the glass before pouring!

This is a non-alcoholic beverage, that’s refreshing and delicious for the whole family. But you can add some rum or vodka, if you please. The ingredients are:

  • 1 and ½ cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 and ¾ cups sugar
  • 8 cups coconut water
  • 4 cups water
  • ½ recipe Lavender Simple Syrup

To put it all together:

  1. In a pitcher, stir together juice, sugar, coconut water, and water. You can also shake it.
  2. Once the sugar is dissolved, pour ½ of the lavender syrup – or the amount you feel like will be to your taste – into the pitcher and stir again.

This is by far the easiest recipe. You just need to blend ginger ale, grenadine, orange juice, and sherbetalso rum if you want to make it alcoholic. Then pour into glasses filled with ice and serve! These are the measures for a four servings recipe:

  • 3 cups ginger ale
  • 4 tablespoons grenadine
  • 4 tablespoons orange juice
  • 3 scoops orange sherbet

This recipe requires a bit more effort, but it does pay off with its 16 servings. This is what it takes:

  • 7 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 8 tea bags orange pekoe tea
  • 8 sprigs fresh mint
  • 8 cups cold water
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • ¾ lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  1. Combine the and sugar, bringing it to a boil and stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, add tea bags and mint sprigs. Cover it for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags and mint sprigs.
  4. Transfer it to a heatproof bowl or container and add the cold water, orange juice, and lemon juice.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours (you can keep it refrigerated up to 2 days).
  6. Serve with ice.
